The Potters Touch
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14
First impression is important in our society. When you meet someone we not only look at a person’s outer appearance, like what they are wearing or how are they groomed, we also look at their character, is this person trust worthy? Are they dependable?
We are born with facial features, skin color and body structure, however we are not born with character we are taught character through life experiences and the choices we make from those experiences. When we are faced with betrayal, pain, or hardships, what qualities or lessons are we pulling from these events in our life? Bitterness, hate, jealousy, forgiveness or are we embracing love, compassion, faith, or long suffering?
Many times we are fixated on changing the outer image of ourselves, like our weight, height, and other body features, while leaving the inner self neglected and deprived.
Like a skilled potter molding and shaping the clay into the design envisioned in his head, God is molding us in the image He planned for us to be. God informed us through the prophet Jeremiah, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee”. God made no mistakes with you from birth and rest assured He knows the plans for you and they are good. Allow Him to revel to you the areas that need to be carved out and molded on to you in order to fulfill your life purpose.
So thank God for how He created you and is continuing to create in you. Celebrate all of you, from your head to your toes and everything in between.
Do Life Big Beloved!
