“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”~ Matthew 5:16
The gospel of Matthew begins with a vivid description of our Savior Jesus Christ being born after a long 400 year silence. His arrival is not sentiment or uncalculated. Our Savior came to the earth to announce the arrival of the Kingdom of God. As he builds His Kingdom on earth He takes His chosen twelve disciples up to a mount and gives them a benediction of blessing which we call the Beatitudes and shortly after he gives them a commandment that they were to light up the world to show Him Glory.
Showing God glory, is like bringing a smile to his face thru worship. How do we worship? In spirit and in truth. Being true to who you were created to be is a form of worship that brings God Glory. You were born to do something great on behalf of the Lord for your family, nation, and the world, and the way you do this is to be the L-I-G-H-T.
“L”: Learned- A person having much knowledge acquired by study
God created everyone for a specific purpose. A person who is God’s chosen acquires knowledge about who they are and what they are to be doing for the Kingdom of God. In all thy getting get understanding. This is a lifelong process.
“I”: Illuminate- light up.
Do life big! Once you know your purpose flow in that thing. Don’t dummy down or make excuses for your calling, and don’t be stingy with your greatness, the world needs you.
“G”: Go- Move from one place or point to another.
Everything in the world moves or progresses forward we walk forward, we see forward, we age forward. The chosen of God go’s and set’s the world on fire. They are not stagnant or stuck in one place spiritually or naturally. They move purposely toward their destiny.
“H”: Help- Offering your services or resources to another:
The light of Gods Glory walks in the spirit of servanthood with love and humility. Offer help to your neighbor, even if they don’t ask you. Babysit their children as thy rest or go out on a date, clean their house, cook dinner, treat them to one of your famous hugs, whatever you do, expect your return from Heaven.
“T”: Teach- Show or explain to (someone) how to do something.
Jesus instructed his chosen before he left the earth, to teach all nations (Matthew 28:19). You don’t have to be a preacher or Sunday school teacher to teach the world the message of Jesus, this can be done by being an example of Jesus on earth thru your lifestyle.
Beloved the Lord wants me to inform you that; your season of obscurity is over, your days of illumination have come. No more will you hide under the darkness of shame, regret or even mediocracy. You were created to defy the odds of nature and to change the world, so Arise & Shine for you are the Light of Gods Glory.
Do Life Big!
