Happy New Beginning!

December 28, 2015

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. - 2 Corinthians 5:17

The New Year is fast approaching, and the countdown will soon begin. I personally love entering a new year because it symbolizes the end of the old and the beginning of the new. This week I have been getting my house in order, throwing away things I don’t need or use and cleaning from the ceiling to the floor boards. I have learned over the years to move into a New Year light; clutter free, drama free and baggage free, physically, emotionally and mentally. I do this by spending time in "me moments"

If you have been following me for some time now, you know I am an avid reader. In some of my "me moments" I break away and read books. I just finished reader Prevail, the latest book by my mentor, Dr. Cindy Trimm. If you have not purchased this book or if you have and have not read it I encourage you to get it and read it immediately, it will change your life. In her book she states;

Life is a journey filled with defining moments, moments that shape our lives and alter the trajectory of our future. On your journey, the greatest gift you can give yourself along the way is the gift of a new beginning. - Prevail, 169

Did you read that? You have the gift to create a new beginning in your life. You don’t have to wait for the countdown to midnight on New Year’s Day, your new year can begin right now. You dont have the power to start your life over but you do have the power to start a new life. You can shape your destiny by the choices and decisions you make on a daily basis. So I encourage you to start each day being a greater version of you then yesterday. Make the choice to begin each day planning the life you want to live and live it. Take each defining moment and use them to shape your future into the life you envision.

During the last few days of 2015 spend some time to take  reflective “me moments” in order to evaluate and learn from the passing years journey. Take those lessons and create a new blue print for the design you want to create for your life.

So as you walk, dance, or laugh your way into the New Year declare that the old things that hindered you, distracted you, disappointed you are passed away and behold ALL things that bring hope, healing and happiness have become new.

Do Life Big in 2016!!! Happy New Year and a Happy Beginning!!!
