Day 10: THAT FOREVER KIND OF LOVE!
The Journey of Preparation to Singleness, Marriage & Intimacy With God
Day 10: That Forever Kind Of Love!
I had the most amazing time today at the Sacramento Women’s Expo. It was all things women. One particular breakout session that I was drawn to was located in what they called the “Keep It Real | Juicy Room”. In this room the topics consisted of all things related to a woman's relationship with a man.
The session I attended was entitled “Sex, Love and Marriage”. And in the room were women who were married for 50 years all the way down to 1 year. Also in attendance were unmarried women, divorced women, and widowers, plus one brave man.
The speaker herself had been married for about 40 years and shared a wealth of knowledge and incite for us all to stay engaged as she spoke.
Today’s Lesson: There is a forever kind of love. You just need to work for it. Pulling from the speaker lecture the way to keep a forever kind of love in for singleness, marriage and intimacy with God, you must:
Know yourself: What do you need? What do you need if you have a significant person in your life and if you don't. If you don't know what you need, you won’t know when it comes to you.
Communicate & Listen: The speaker talked on the importance of not only "do unto others as you want to be done unto you". But more so "do unto others the way they need things done unto them". I love this because what you like, may not be what they like so it is important to learn to communicate your needs and listen for their needs.
Enjoy each other: It is vital to keep your relationship fun and adventurous. Have fun with each other, learn from each other and do new things with each other. The consensus between these beautiful and wise, seasoned, women who are living out their forever kind of love, is to maintain a healthy relationship by keeping the relationship a priority.
As we continue the journey of singleness, marriage and intimacy with God, let's embrace that love is forever, when we become intentional to pursue it. Love can be forever in your singleness, marriage and intimacy with God, just open up your heart to receive it. Until tomorrow, let’s chase that forever kind of love!
With Beautiful Love
