The Journey of Preparation to Singleness, Marriage & Intimacy With God
Day 30: THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST
The Lord advised me to watch the movie “The Passion For The Christ” this evening. I was surprised because I literally haven't seen the movie since 2004 at the movie theaters, when it first came out.
As I was watching the movie I cried the entire time. Not only did I cry for what Jesus endured for the world, but I also grieved all the times I took what Jesus did for me for granted. I thought about all the times I acted in selfishness, or fought for my viewpoint or cause with no thought of how God wanted me to address it. Was I to stay silent, was I to pray, was I to be open, was I being like a Pharisee or Sadducee living in the blindness of my own righteous indignation.
Today’s Lesson: Remember the passion of the Christ is meant to be shared into the world through love.
During the movie, when Jesus was walking to Gethsemane and the woman with the cup of water, who had her daughter with her, walked to Him after he fell. God told me that in a world full of hate, pain and suffering, He wanted me to be as that woman and bring the world a refreshing of His pure love.
Homework: Watch the movie and allow the Lord to personalize what He wants to tell you today regarding how to share His passion.
Whatever God whispers in your ear as you watch the movie, know it is all apart of your journey to singleness, marriage and intimacy with God. Until tomorrow, remember the passion of the Christ and share it with the world.
With Beautiful Love
