The Journey of Preparation to Singleness, Marriage & Intimacy With God

On my last night in Atlanta, Ga after a phenomenal trip serving at the End Your Year Strong Summit, myself, best friend and his personal assistant were having a discussion regarding relationships.

I remember the conversation eventually excluded my bestie and I began to counsel his personal assistant regarding not putting her life on pause in the hope a man she liked would notice her.

I said things your life to the fullest, your king will show you that he is interested in you, stop waiting for a guy to notice you, because when he does he will be cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs trying to be with you.

As I was speaking to her it was as if the words were bouncing back at me. God later reveled to me that as I thought I was talking to this young lady, I was talking to myself.

Today’s Lesson: Stop hoping and wishing, a man will notice you. Your king will need no prompting from you! All you need to do is work.

Most, not all, but most unmarried woman's dream is to get married to her knight in shining armor, her prince, her king. The one who will sweep her off her feet, love her dangerously, protect her courageously, and pursue her fanatically.

However when it doesn't happen. We then take actions in our own hands. We initiate the contact, although subtlety we still do the pursuing.

A women’s subtle advances:

We asking him out,

We change our schedule for him,

We cook for him,

We clean for him

We text him first always,

We call first always,

We do, we do, we do.

I’m not saying these things are wrong ladies in themselves. In fact they are perfect if you are married to the man. But why are we doing this stuff when he hasn't even stated his feelings of being anything other than a friendship.

I say these next words with the purest intentions, because I am talking to myself also.

“Girlfriend, when you are crushing or really like a man, stop “doing” to get him to notice you and put your attention in the work God has given you. Allow the Holy Spirit to sever any illegal soul ties that has formed and mind your own business.”

Our sister queens, Rebekah, Rachel, Ruth, Abigail, and Esther gave us the strategy to a king's heart….

Read the love stories of:

Isaac and Rebekah (Genesis 24)

Jacob and Rachel (Genesis 29)

Boaz and Ruth (Book of Ruth)

David and Abigail (1 Samuel 25)

King Xerxes and Esther (Book of Esther)

God never intended for the woman to take the driver's seat when it pertains to finding your forever love for the marriage relationship. In fact if you look at all the epic marriages above the women were all working and minding their own business.

So God’s advice to his daughters on our journey of singleness, marriage and intimacy with Him today, is to stay focused, work while it is day..because when your king finds you, then and only then you will be able to pour your honey on his moon! Until tomorrow work, work, work, work, work, work!

With Beautiful Love
