The Journey of Preparation to Singleness, Marriage & Intimacy With God

Today’s Lesson: You have options

Never feel like you are stuck in any type of situation, especially when it comes to a relationship. I have counseled many individuals based on toxic relationships and the phrase that is common among them is “I have no other option but to stay”.

This used to be me. I stayed in a relationship using excuses, like "I must stay for the kids", "what will the church say?" "How will I face my family?" When really I was scared to be alone.

When you are on this journey of preparation into full singleness, a partnership marriage and intimacy with God you must know you have options in all of these relationships.

You are in the driver's seat to decide what you want out of any relationship.

In regards to your relationship with God. You decide if you will pray, have devotional time, study the bible, or sit quietly with Him. God is a gentle God and will not force you, but will always be available to you. Free will means you have a choice.

The same is true with yourself and with others. You chose to spend time knowing who you are the same way you choose to spend time with that special someone.

Things don't change, you always have options. If you are in an abusive relationship you have options. If you are in a relationship where you are overlooked, you have options.

Until tomorrow choose the options you want to reflect on what you want

With Beautiful Love
