The Journey of Preparation into Singleness, Marriage & Intimacy With God
Day 148: GOD HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR
Today’s Lesson: When you want to go off on somebody or somebodies... Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8 - KJV)
I promise you when someone shows you their ugly your not initially thinking about the beautiful ocean few with pink ponies racing down the beach. No the opposite you are tempted to show them the ugly, pre-saved, unfiltered version of you.
However as we are aware of by now, we are on a journey of preparation into singleness, marriage and intimacy with God. And in neither of these relationships with yourself, your boo, or your God will show your wrath be cultivated.
I saw a post from my spiritual mother Dr. Cindy Trimm which read: Don’t giver haters, under-miners and those jealous of you one second of your attention! They are not worth it! Remember the greatest relationship to cultivate in this season is your relationship with God and your relationship with yourself!”
And the way you do that when your haters, under-miners and those jealous of you show up is to use your weapon of Philippians 4-8...think on these things, then keep it moving.
Until tomorrow think #beautifulthoughts
