The Journey of Preparation into Singleness, Marriage & Intimacy With God

I was sick recently with the flu, and all I could do effectively was to rest. I tried to work yet my body ached and my thought process was scattered. So I took naps.

When I got back to myself and was over the flu I got quickly back into the groove of work, but something was missing by the second day. My new friend the nap.

I remember talking to a friend, feeling guilty that I wanted to take a nap, and she disclosed her guilt of taking one earlier that day. I then guiltily stated “they sure feel good” she replied “I know right”, we ended the discussion with a hilarious laugh at how ridiculous we both must sound, feeling guilty admitting we like taking naps.

Today’s Lesson: “Nap Time” brings health to your spirit, mind and body so that you can live a productive life.

On the journey of preparation into singleness, marriage and intimacy with God, we may prize the concept of doing and being productive in our daily goals and tasks, however to be at your prime and coming from an 100% optimal place it is vital to rest, not just when you are ill.

Sleep experts have found that daytime naps can improve many things:

  • increase alertness,

  • boost creativity,

  • reduce stress,

  • improves perception,

  • improves stamina,

  • improves motor skills

  • improves accuracy,

  • enhance your sex life,

  • aids in weight loss,

  • reduces the risk of heart attack,

  • brighten your mood

  • and boosts memory.

So until tomorrow #naptimeiscallingmyname

With Beautiful Love
