Day 193: “HE CAME AND GOT ME OUT OF THE DUCK POND”

April 22, 2020

The Journey of Preparation into Singleness, Marriage & Intimacy With God

Day 193: “HE CAME AND GOT ME OUT OF THE DUCK POND”

Continuing the discussion on the “LORD IS THIS A SIGN OF MY FUTURE? (10 keys to ensure a forever kind of love) (Day 186)

Key #7

One of the wife's from my married couples that I used to derive these 10 keys, stated upon my arrival to talk with them “every time we go out, we’re always getting into trouble together”! My curiosity evoked me to instantly ask, “in what way?”, she them stated;

"Well, we were on a walk the other day, and I proceeded to walk through what looked like a small puddle, he told me it wasn't, and decided to either walk around or return from back the way we came. I however continued and found myself deeper than I expected, and it scared me, so he came and got me out of the duck pond, we both were soaked”

As she was laughing telling the story, I looked over to her husband, who was shaking his head, as he looked at his wife with a boyish smile, then said, “I sure did”, as a matter of fact.

Today’s Lesson: Will pull you up when your down

Did you notice that the wife said, we get into trouble? He was in full agreement because he knew if she's in trouble, I'm in trouble!

In this walk during the journey of singleness, marriage and intimacy with God, you and or your spouse will make decisions that are not favorable, and may even be against what the other advises them to do. However what maintains a healthy, loving marriage is to always be available and willing to be the one to pull them out of their troubles.

Unhealthy relationships on the opposite, push them into trouble by, hold grudges, exhume the error when angry, express an “I told you so” attitude like a badge of honor, or would push them deeper into the pond to drown.

Let this not be so in your marriage. Yes the other will make decisions that you may not agree with, remember they are a single person and even though they are living a love story with you they are still living out their own story as a person. Be that soft place, that smile as you help lift them up if they fall. Because you lifting them is lifting you! That my friends is the key to a beautiful marriage.

So until tomorrow do you have the capacity to #pickmeup

With Beautiful Love
