The Journey of Preparation into Singleness, Marriage & Intimacy With God
Day 200: WHY ARE YOU GIVING 100 PERCENT WHEN THE'RE ONLY GIVING 2
First I must say as I began this blog post I was completely in amazement when I realized it was blog number 200. What? I can remember my second blog when I was having blogger's remorse, because I believed I would have nothing to write for 365 days. Well...I guess there was plenty to write.
Thank you for those who have been down since Day 1 and any other day in between. If this is your first blog thank you for joining the journey.
Today's lesson started out from a beautiful reprimanded I recieved from God today. I went into a business meeting, and was told not to talk about any personal information. Cool, I will keep my lips shut. Mid way in the meeting one woman began to ask me personal questions, and here I go answering them. When it was time for the woman to reciprocate and share her information. She brilliantly changed the subject. On my drive home, God brought this scenario up and turned it into today's lesson.
Today’s Lesson: Stop giving your all to people who give you crumbs.
This is me all day. I see the good in people so when we are together I’m just flowing the love and am comfortable communicating. However what has been shown to me in this lesson is that I do this also with individuals where I share and share and share some more, and they never share with me. While others take, take and take some more and never bring anything to the table. When this happens people can do a couple things when it concerns you.
Take you for granted
Be to familiar with you
On this journey of preparation into singleness, marriage and intimacy with God, you must be wise and selective in what you give. This could be information, your time, your service, or even you. Sometimes people can be so toxic that you need to delete them from your life.
So until tomorrow #nocrumbsallowed
