Day 202: INTIMATE SELF REFLECTION TIME (ISRT)
The Journey of Preparation into Singleness, Marriage & Intimacy With God

Day 202: INTIMATE SELF REFLECTION TIME (ISRT)
Continuing the discussion on the “BFF Qualifiers” from the I HAVE THE BEST BFF (BEST FRIEND FOREVER) IN THE WORLD (Day 201)
Today’s Lesson: Do You Spend Time With You
In a culture where we often confuse being alone for loneliness, the ability to appreciate time by ourselves can actually save your business, your relationships, your ministry, your love life, and most of all your life. There is evidence that proves that solitude is not negative or weird, it actually adds value to your life overall.
I personally have been during this for some time. It is a part of my daily mental health regime. I call it “ISRT” or Intimate Self Reflection Time. ISRT is a time to recharge and reflect. It’s a time I schedule daily with myself to spend time with myself. I think, ask questions, I visualize, or I just conduct self checks.
On this journey of preparation into singleness, marriage and intimacy with God,
choosing to spend time doing things by yourself can have mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual benefits.
Here are some positive benefits of Intimate Self Reflection Time while alone:
It’s important to enjoy your own company
Great way to recharge
Helps regulate your emotions
Enables you to have a clear mind
Has a calming effect
Helps you handle negative emotions and experiences
Decreases stress & burnout in your life
Encourages creativity
You tend to get more done in the day
Helps to improve Depressive Symptoms
Decreases Anxiety
Empowers you
This list can go on and on, however the key to reaping those positive rewards comes from choosing to commit to spending that time alone.
So until tomorrow #yourenouch
With Beautiful Love
