The Journey of Preparation into Singleness, Marriage & Intimacy With God

Continuing the discussion on the “BFF Qualifiers” from the I HAVE THE BEST BFF (BEST FRIEND FOREVER) IN THE WORLD (Day 201)

Today’s Lesson: Do You Listen To You

The best and most important conversations you will ever have are the ones that occur in your mind. Last week I stopped everything. Well not everything, but most things that have occupied my mind space, such as social media, and even blogging. I spent time thinking.

Day after day I intentionally listened to the conversations going on in my head, and I must say at times it was brilliant stuff going on up there, and at other times it was some scary stuff being revealed. But best of all there was some healing stuff taking place.

For example, after listening to myself I have found out that to be my optimal best self I must only do things that make me happy. Plus I need to incorporate nightly Esther Baths, journaling, and a monthly beach visit to name a few.

Now I love doing all of these things, yet being a busy entrepreneur sometimes I don't have time for them. But listening to myself I have learned that it’s not an option it’s a necessity.

On this journey of preparation into singleness, marriage and intimacy with God the goal is to be the best version of ourselves. The best way to be your best version is to listen to yourself. Do what you want to do, stop doing what you don't want to do, cut off certain people, places and things that bring you no joy and consume yourself with what does bring you joy, happiness and even laughter. And the way you know when to, is to listen to yourself. You know what’s best for you.

The benefit of listening to yourself is not to just assess what is going on in that amazingly beautiful head of yours. Instead after listening to your internal dialog began to make the needed changes and adjustments to accommodate your personal needs. You will be so glad you did.

So until tomorrow #bethebestyou and listen!

With Beautiful Love
