The Journey of Preparation into Singleness, Marriage & Intimacy With God

Continuing the discussion on the “BFF Qualifiers” from the I HAVE THE BEST BFF (BEST FRIEND FOREVER) IN THE WORLD (Day 201)

Today’s Lesson: Are You Protective Over You

Growing up being the only girl with four brothers, I loved using them for protection. If anyone would tease me, or threaten me, I would say in my, you going to get it voice…”I’m telling my brothers on you”.

It always worked. Most likely the person or group knew my brothers, so they would quickly apologize or scurried away mumbling under their breath… “you tattle-tail”

On this journey of preparation into singleness, marriage and intimacy with God the true test to your personal self BFF status is if you protect yourself not only from others but also from you.

Protect From Others

To protect yourself from others means you do not subject yourself to toxic and negative relationships. You own your right to be authentic and don't dummy down for no one even if they try to suppress your greatness. You protect yourself by embracing the gift of goodbye.

Protect From Yourself

To protect yourself from yourself means you are not doing things intentionally or unintentionally to hurt yourself. This could be by your choices and or actions. Do the choices and or actions you make or do harm you? To go deeper and closer to home. Are you protecting your body from sickness and disease? How do I do that you may ask. By the foods you eat. By the drinks you drink, by the activity you allow or disallow your body to engage in.

Protecting yourself also means the thoughts you think. Are they edifying or petrifying? Do they bring you life or death?

So until tomorrow #protectyourself by all means.

With Beautiful Love
