The Journey of Preparation into Singleness, Marriage & Intimacy With God
Day 227: I'M DROWNING...AND I LOVE IT!
When I was about 3 years old I almost died underwater. I fell in the deep end of a a community pool and sunk all the way to the bottom.
My mother said when a gentleman dove in to rescue me, he found me, not flapping around or even scared. He said I was sitting at the bottom of the pool looking around with my legs crossed Indian style.
Most people would have grown up with a phobia of large bodies of water after a traumatic near death experience as I had encountered. However it was the opposite for me. My family and friends can attest to my love, fascination and craving to be near large bodies of water. It can be a pool, lake, stream, waterfall, ocean, or even bubble bath. Being in the water has always been like my second home. I prefer to not live without it.
Today’s Lesson: Don't be scared, let His presence overtake you, like a wave of water carrying you were you need to go....deeper and deeper in His Spirit.
On this journey of preparation into singleness, marriage and intimacy with God surrender to the current of his love, allow yourself to be overtaken by His spirit. For when you do the cares of this world will not distress, distract, or discourage you. Instead when you are saturated in the presence of God you will find
So until tomorrow take off all your floating devices and sink.
Sink into His depths. And let Him overtake you.
Yes you will die. But when you do you will begin to live. #drowning to #live
With Beautiful Love
